Sports Reporting
Through my time at Syracuse University I had the chance to cover plenty of sports. For my first two years at SU, I worked in the Citrus TV Sports Department where I helped edit highlights, create montages, run cameras for play-by-play broadcasts and run various other positions throughout the department. During the spring of 2010 I was the station’s beat reporter for the Syracuse University women’s lacrosse team.
I took a sports reporting class in the spring of 2011 that was taught by Steve Infanti, the sports director of Channel 9 WSYR-TV in Syracuse. This class provided me an opportunity to anchor some practice sportscasts and produce two stories. One story was a profile of Cayden Feifer, a walk-on on the Syracuse University football team. This story was contributed to both ABC News On Campus and ESPNU Campus Connection. You can find it at the end of my resume reel. The other story was about the final home swimming meet for the Syracuse University swim team, which was being disbanded following the 2011 season.
During the summer of 2010 I interned at ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley. While there I contributed daily reports on the Philadelphia Eagles Training Camp held at Lehigh University. The reports included audio I gathered from interviews with both players and coaches. I also provided additional sound to be played during the station’s local sports talk show, The Happy Hour.

While working for ABC News On Campus I put together a story for ABC News Radio about Super Dirt Week, the biggest event in dirt racing.
I also put together a story on the Easton-Phillipsburg football rivalry, one of the oldest high school football rivalries that is played annually on Thanksgiving Day.
