Political Reporting

I have a special interest in politics and political reporting.  While at ABC News On Campus I wrote a story that appeared on the ABCNews.com homepage about what college students wanted to hear President Obama talk about in his 2011 State of the Union address.  On a more local level, I covered Judy Tassone’s re-election campaign for the District 4 seat on the Onondaga County Legislature while reporting for Democracywise, a political news website in Central New York.  I have also done stories about the challenge of helping soldiers returning home with psychological issues and how a repeal of the 2011 health care law would affect Central New Yorkers.  Take a look at the links below.

ABC News On Campus

On the day of President Obama’s 2011 State of the Union address I published a story about what college students around the United States wanted to hear the president talk about in his speech.  I used quotes from around the country and the story made the ABCNews.com homepage.  You can read the story by following the link below.  (Note: ABC News has since removed the article from its website, so I have deactivated this link.)
